Recommended System Configuration

NT\ABL is a Client / Server system, with the database running on a Microsoft SQL server in a Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 server environment. The application is loaded on each workstation and connected to the database through a local area or wide area network via a ODBC connection. We currently have clients operating NT\ABL on excess of 200 PCs connected via a local area or wide area network.

SERVER HARDWARE

• Intel Pentium IV 1 GHz dual or quad* processor server
  (*The use of a quad processor server, as well as Xeon processing chips can improve performance when larger user groups are accessing NT\ABL simultaneously)
• 2 GB RAM of Memory or better
• 15-20 GB disk space
• 4 mm DAT or DLT tape drive (or other backup devices)
• CD-ROM drive
• 3.5" diskette drive

SERVER SOFTWARE

• Windows 2000, or 2003 Server
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher database software

CLIENT HARDWARE

• Intel Pentium 266 MHz or higher processor
• 128 MB RAM of Memory or better
• 1 GB disk space
• CD-ROM drive
• 3.5" diskette drive

CLIENT SOFTWARE

• Microsoft Windows 95 / 98 / ME / NT / XP or Windows 2000
• ODBC
